For years, I've been searching for the right belt ~ something with character but still refined enough for everyday wear. Being a bag maker, I thought about creating it myself, but belts are a different territory. The leather I use comes from the shoulder section of the hide, which is actually smaller than what's typically used for belts. It's still excellent leather, just means working within tighter constraints to get the full size range I wanted. The custom brass buckle is shaped like an eye ~ representing the careful attention that goes into every cut and stitch, and that moment of connection when someone notices those details that make this work distinctive. Made from the same Australian bovine leather as our bags, crafted through our network of Victorian makers, and finished here in my Brunswick atelier.
