Expert Opinion A small amount of Modelling Liquid on the brush makes a significant difference to how composite handles chairside. It eliminates the stickiness that causes composite to drag or pull away from the cavity wall during shaping, which means you can flow and contour the material with genuine control. The liquid is slightly yellowish during application but cures fully transparent — no effect on shade. We use it routinely with the GC GRADIA flat brush for surface smoothing on the final layer, which noticeably reduces finishing time. Compatible with G-ænial, Essentia, and other composite systems — this is not a GC-only product. Indications Brush wetting for composite placement, contouring, and surface smoothing Final layer smoothing to reduce finishing and polishing steps Use with GC GRADIA flat or round brush tips and compatible handles Compatible with all light-cured composites including G-ænial, Essentia, and third-party systems Features & Benefits Eliminates Composite Stickiness A wetted brush allows composite to be placed, shaped, and contoured without the material dragging or pulling away from the cavity walls. The result is better adaptation with less instrument pressure and more predictable surface morphology. Cures Fully Transparent — No Aesthetic Compromise Applied in the small amount needed to wet a brush, the liquid appears slightly yellowish during use but becomes completely transparent after light-curing. No shade shift, no surface discolouration, no impact on the final aesthetic result. Reduces Finishing Time Applying the final composite layer with a Modelling Liquid-wetted brush produces a smoother surface pre-cure, meaning less finishing bur work and polishing is needed post-cure to achieve the desired surface quality.
