We work with you to make progress at the rate that your child needs. Our GCSE classes will cover the foundation or Higher GCSE Maths syllabus (depending on what class you are enrolled in) so that students can move up to the higher sets at school comfortably and confidently. Each week we will cover a mix of topics that aim to boost the retention of knowledge on areas that would have previously been seen as well as building on this in ways that enable students to confidently tackle their exams. We teach methods that enable students to more easily retain knowledge and think outside the box. We regularly use past exam questions to familiarise students with the style to expect in exams as well as teaching techniques for how to apply their knowledge to the often unfamiliar situations posed in questions. Lessons frequently build on problem solving skills as this element has increased greatly in the exams of recent years. These problem solving techniques are not only applicable to Mathematics but will help the student to become better at tackling unfamiliar situations in all different areas. This intensive focus will make a massive difference to your child's GCSE result and greatly benefit students.
