For nearly 200 years, Glendronach has been one of Scotland's great sherry cask distilleries. Ode to the Embers takes that familiar Glendronach DNA and introduces something rarely seen from the Highland icon: peat smoke. Light peat and sherry sweetness... it's a match made in heaven. If you don't normally like peat, you need to try this. Nose:Cinnamon-spiced toffee, caramelised walnuts, baked apple and orange peel, carried on gentle wisps of woodsmoke. Palate:Raisins, honeyed walnuts and blackberry richness layered with smoked chocolate fudge and warming spice. Finish:Lingering dark fruit, sweet spice and soft embers of smoke that drift long after the last sip.
