The Geecrack Strabo 68 Popper is a premium topwater bait built for anglers who want a compact popper that creates serious surface commotion while still maintaining the balance and posture needed for consistent hookups. Geecrack’s product listings position the Strabo 68 as a purpose-built popping bait developed in collaboration with the Akashi team in Japan, giving it a more specialized design than a generic topwater popper. At 68mm and about 3/8 oz, it hits a sweet spot for anglers looking for a bait that is easy to cast, easy to work, and capable of drawing explosive strikes in a wide range of topwater situations. What makes the Strabo 68 stand out is the way its body shape is tuned for surface performance. Product coverage consistently highlights a flat bottom and tapered body shape, which help the bait sit on the surface in a slightly tail-down posture. That posture matters because it helps the bait pop more cleanly, track more predictably, and stay in a fishable position between twitches and pauses. It also supports stronger hookup performance by helping the bait remain properly oriented when a fish comes up and eats. For anglers who spend time fishing poppers around schooling fish, shallow cover, or calm-water feeding windows, that kind of balance is a real advantage. The Strabo 68 is also designed to call fish from a distance. Listings describe it as featuring an oversized cupped mouth that produces a loud blooping sound, while an internal sound system combining one large one-knocker and multiple smaller rattles creates added noise and water disturbance. That mix gives the bait a more aggressive calling presence than a subtle finesse popper, making it especially appealing when you want to draw fish up from cover or get the attention of active bass feeding high in the water column. It is the kind of bait that can be worked with sharp pops, short twitches, and stop-and-go cadence to create a strong reaction-triggering surface presentation. For Jootti customers, the biggest selling point of the Geecrack Strabo 68 Popper is that it combines premium JDM-style refinement with aggressive fish-calling surface action. It is compact enough to stay versatile, but loud and purposeful enough to stand out when bass are feeding shallow, cruising seawalls, targeting bluegill, or reacting around cover. If you are looking for a high-end topwater popper that offers strong sound, a well-balanced tail-down stance, and a design built specifically to improve action and hookup performance, the Strabo 68 is an excellent choice.
