I wanted to play around with different shapes and styles of beads, and made a few ideas that I've had for a while. Something that I've really enjoyed lately is mixing shapes and textures in my work- it just seems to bring the pieces to life for me. Two of these are actually inspired by bracelets that I was given by former partners. For some reason, they've both been on my mind a lot lately, and I needed a safe/healthy way to get it out (aka not insta stalking lol). The cat's eye bracelet is based on a 3mm round bead hematite and cat's eye bracelet. Dan had brought it back from a vacation for me. I wore that thing until it had broken and scattered four different times, then used the remnants as a phone charm until it broke yet again. The matte black bracelet is based on a brand name set of 6mm round matte beads with charms. Mine had a shamrock to represent him, while his had a music note to represent me. It was a gift from Liam during a getaway together to Niagara Falls, and I wore mine until a few months post breakup. It's still in a box of memorabilia in my closet, even though I should probably get rid of the box- and repurpose the beads from the bracelet.
