ProblemThe number of Iraqi orphans has grown exponentially since the recent violence in Iraq. Without financial assistance, orphanages do not have the resources they need to provid e for basic needs. Generation Iraq is also supporting 24 girls who face more difficult challenges than most. They were imprisoned with their mothers for crimes committed by their mothers, A great deal of work is necessary to help these girls become integrated into society, attend school, and recover from past trauma.
