Reviews When is book 2?! I loved this book! The characters were great. One took me a bit to forgive, but eventually I came around. The twists kept me guessing, and I couldn't put it down. I finished it in a day. I was fascinated (and a little scared!) by the idea that the technology we live with every day could actually shape our biology. It really gets you thinking. Such a unique concept. Now I need Book 2! — Barnes & Noble® Looking forward to the next book in the series! Genetics 2100 was a real page turner! Although it is a work of fiction, set in the future, it definitely makes one think that it could be a possibility some day. Based on the concept that all of the wireless technology that surrounds us each day could possibly change the genetics of future generations is fascinating to think about. What a brilliant concept for the author to think of! I really enjoyed the way this book unfolded. It mainly followed one families journey with genetically "gifted" children and how their "powers" can be exploited for good or evil. However it also showed the global picture of children all over the world having this genetic change and how different entities were dealing with it and them. I felt it had great character development, so you really get invested in each one. It was filled with many suspenseful twists and turns involving friends, family, co workers, scientists, nefarious individuals and the government. *Side note: This book would make an excellent movie! — Barnes & Noble® A nail biting story that leaves you wanting more! Genetics 2100 by Eric zu Hone is the kind of book that pulls you in and keeps you turning the pages because you have to know what happens next. The story blends genetics, science, technology, and the possibilities of the future with a suspenseful plot that feels both fascinating and unsettling. What I enjoyed most was the suspense. There are plenty of nail biting moments where you find yourself wondering who can be trusted, what is coming next, and whether the good guys will actually be able to stay one step ahead. Just when you think you have things figured out, the story gives you another reason to keep reading. The characters also make it easy to become invested in what happens. I found myself genuinely rooting for the good guys to triumph, especially as the stakes continued to rise. The scientific and genetic elements add another layer to the story because some of the ideas don't feel completely outside the realm of possibility, which makes the story even more intriguing. Overall, Genetics 2100 is an exciting, suspenseful read with a great mix of science, danger, mystery, and unexpected turns. It kept me interested from beginning to end and, most importantly, left me wanting more. If you enjoy stories that make you think while also keeping you on the edge of your seat, this one is definitely worth reading. Highly recommended, and I'm hoping there's more to come! — Barnes & Noble®
