A classic Japanese-style green tea blend of organically produced sweet sencha (cha) and toasted rice (genmai), Genmai Cha is a favorite tea for morning or afternoon. Produced from the bancha or second flush sencha, Genmai Cha is created by tossing brown rice in with the bancha during the drying process. This results in a nicely toasted rice flavor with some of the kernels even popping like corn! Light in character with a lovely sweet toastiness and fresh vegetal notes, Genmai Cha is a great everyday green tea.
