Inside these Moroccan geodes quartz and selenite can be found. Color: Geodes can come in various colors depending on the minerals present inside. Common colors include white, gray, brown, due to the crystals lining the inner cavity. Hardness: The hardness of geodes can vary depending on the minerals inside, but typically they are not as hard as quartz. It may range from 5 to 7 on the Mohs scale. Clarity: Geodes are generally not transparent, as they have a solid outer shell. However, the crystals inside may have varying levels of clarity. Luster: The luster of geodes can range from dull to vitreous (glassy), depending on the type of crystals inside. Density: The density of geodes can vary widely depending on the composition of the minerals inside. Metaphysical Properties: Geodes are often associated with spiritual and metaphysical properties such as promoting harmony, balance, and positive energy. They are believed to amplify energy and promote spiritual growth. Photos have not been edited or altered, just taken in different daylight conditions to show the variation in color. Pieces are held in hand to help with scale and does not necessarily represent 1 pound. Specific pieces photographed may no longer be available.
