A beautiful statement piece and an authentic piece of French history for your home. This striking gilt wood oval mirror with inlaid decoration and gold leaf finish is from the first half of the 1800's and is the classic Napoleon III style of the time. The intricately carved flowers that adorn the top of the mirror, really make this piece unique. The mirror itself has some beautiful foxing that add another dimension of character. Lovely condition for the age of the item. There is some minor damage to the frame and to the wooden decorations, as you would expect from a piece that is 200 years old. However, these do not detract from the beauty of the piece and in our opinion only add to its character and charm as a genuine antique.
