Hello, lovely painters, I have another butterfly flower combination for you this week. We are celebrating the beautiful Cabbage White butterfly, which has such a tough time in the garden and yet when they're fluttering around, they bring such joy. I loved the lacey pattern of the butterfly wings, reflecting the veining of the Geranium. I have even given this study a little lacey border. This project requires a very delicate touch, with the number 2 brush being used predominantly throughout the study. My advice here would be to add as much of your colour as you can before adding the detail. I added a little extra at the end, but this is quite scary, so don't add your detail until you're happy with the finished colour. I love the gentleness of all the processes in this study and the delicacy of the mark-making. I hope you enjoy it too. Peace, love, and creative time for all,Billy xx
