Cyanotype and Watercolor 12" x 9" on paper, surrounded with a white 16" x 12" acid-free matboard. “Geranium One” is an original cyanotype with light touches of watercolor. Geranium s thrive in the direct sun in my Florida garden pushing out large clusters of dark red flowers. Cyanotypes are one of photography's oldest printing processes. Its prints' distinctive feature is its cyan blue shade, which results from its exposure to ultraviolet light. I have used plants from my garden to block the UV-rays and create unique, botanical silhouettes. Additional chemicals, dyes, and watercolor are added to create a truly one-of-a-kind artwork. Show more
