The German JagdPanther was a tank destroyer based on the chassis of the Panther tank, officially designated as the Sd.Kfz. 173. Introduced in 1944, it combined the Panther's mobili ty and armour with a powerful 88mm Pak 43 anti-tank gun, which was capable of destroying any Allied tank at long ranges. The JagdPanther played a significant role on both the Eastern and Western Fronts.
