Balthasar is one of our vintage German nutcrackers made by the Steinbach company. They made nutcrackers by hand for seven generations in Germany's Erzgebirge Mountains, where woode n nutcrackers first originated. Steinbach nutcrackers are dense, heavy, and exquisitely made. Balthasar is stout and chubby with a cute button nose and a jeweled horn and a beautiful gold crown. He stands about 12" tall and is signed by Karolin Steinbach. Handmade in Germany.
