This Bavarian heirloom was one of the two original varieties that started the Seed Savers Exchange. Brought to the United States in 1883 and passed down through the family of SSE f ounder Dianne Ott Whealy, German Pink produces large, pink, beefsteak tomatoes weighing 1 to 2 pounds each! Fruit have a delicious, sweet flavor with few seeds and thin, tender skins. Excellent for slicing, juicing, canning, and freezing. Indeterminate. Harvests begin 85-90 days after transplanting.
