This steamer trunk was manufactured by well known trunk maker Ernst Lange of Dresden, Germany. The owner, Dr. Nordhoff, had his initials marked on the trunk's top. A tag from his t ravel remains on the trunk's side. The trunk is covered in canvas. It has brass hardware, leather handles, and wood trim on the outer sides and center. Double locks.
