A recent study after Gérome. I wanted to experience the simplicity of pencil marks, where the physicality of hand movement is registered in the mark. It feels less stylized, less r emoved from the human experience of drawing. There's an assumption in the language of the marks that drawing is a human endeavor, not without imperfection.
