About this album Pinup is a strong blues-tinged folk-rock album that shows Gerry Lockran as a writer with real bite and a taste for American roots traditions. Issued in 1973, it folds acoustic momentum, blues phrasing and reflective songwriting into a set that moves between the personal and the political. Songs such as Tired Of Whats Bin' Goin' On and New York's My Home underline Lockran’s ear for sharp character and social detail, while the album’s plainspoken delivery keeps the material grounded.
