Get Smart is a 2008 action-comedy movie directed by Peter Segal and starring Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway, and Dwayne Johnson. The movie is based on the 1960s television series of t he same name. The plot of the movie revolves around Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell), a bumbling and inexperienced analyst working for the United States secret intelligence agency known as CONTROL. When CONTROL's headquarters is attacked by their arch-nemesis organization KAOS, Smart is unexpectedly promoted to field agent and partnered with the beautiful and capable Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway). Together, they embark on a mission to stop KAOS from detonating a bomb that would destroy Los Angeles. Along the way, they encounter a cast of colorful characters, including the eccentric scientist Dr. Shtarker (Alan Arkin), the evil mastermind Siegfried (Terence Stamp), and Agent 23 (Dwayne Johnson), a legendary agent who has gone rogue.
