AEB-L AEB-L was originally designed for use as a razor blade steel. It is famed for a combination of toughness, edge stability and edge holding, while being easy to resharpen and extremely corrosion resistant. This is an extremely fine-grained steel and the go to for many makers. Chemical Composition:- C: Cr: Si: Mn: S: P: 0.67% 13% 0.4% 0.6% 0.006% 0.025% Suggested Heat Treatments: Heat to 1060C (1940F) (Hold for 15 minutes) Air or Oil Quench (Suggested Oil is Rye 32) (AAA Quench) Optional – Cool to -70C Temper twice for two hours at 150C (302F) for approx 60/61HRc Supplied Hot Rolled Annealed in 600mm Lengths GFSKS = Ground Flat Stock Knife Supplies in the UK
