Issued in 1999, the design pays homage to the golden age of motor racing while embracing a bold, stylized aesthetic rooted in classic Italian poster design. The composition is charged with movement and elegance: a group of elongated, fashionably dressed figures stride across a vivid green landscape, their forms flowing with rhythmic precision, while a racing car bursts into the scene from the right, its exaggerated perspective heightening the sense of speed and drama. The juxtaposition of human figures and machine captures the spirit of early Grand Prix culture—where glamour, innovation, and spectacle converged. The palette is vibrant and theatrical, dominated by luminous greens, rich reds, and deep contrasting tones, all rendered with smooth, graphic clarity. The stylization of figures and forms recalls the influence of Art Deco and Futurism, movements closely tied to the visual language of early 20th-century Italian advertising and motorsport imagery. The bold typography anchors the composition, reinforcing its promotional intent while maintaining strong visual balance. The reference to Lorenzo Il Magnifico adds a layer of historical resonance, linking Florence’s cultural heritage with the excitement of modern competition. Printed in 1999, this poster is a fine example of a contemporary edition inspired by the pre-digital poster tradition, combining historical subject matter with high-quality modern printing. A vibrant and highly decorative work, ideal for collectors of motorsport memorabilia, Italian design, and bold, graphic compositions.
