***PCB Only Variant: You will only receive the PCB and required components to build it. This option is mainly for people who already have a Gherkin case.*** Description The Gherkin is a fun-sized keyboard project. With 30 keys, it offers a compact ortho layout that fits all of the alpha keys and a few mods in the base layer. With a bare PCB, it is also a good kit to practice/learn soldering with. You'll learn to solder diodes, switches, and a Pro Micro board. The PCB is also compatible with the Elite-C board, which can be bought from other vendors. Once built, you can flash QMK software and customize your very own layout. I personally enjoy using my Gherkin as a large macropad to have a lot of quick shortcuts to commonly used functions such as volume control and function keys. The "Two Plate" option is shown in the Frosted Blurple (w/switches) and the Low Profile option is shown in Frosted Fuschia. Looking for a more premium/high-profile case? Check out the Gherkin Acrylic Case What's included? (1) PCB, unassembled (30) diodes Brass Philips head screws and brass standoffs Acrylic layers for the case (2-plate or low profile, if you purchased this option) Rubber feet If you need an MCU (Pro Micro), please make sure to add it to your order PCB Only: You will only receive the PCB and required components to build it.
