Amverb has received a major update The pedal now runs 16-bit algorithms from the legendary Alesis Midiverb II Amverb is a stereo reverb pedal, and an emulation of a classic 1980s rack reverb unit, the Alesis Midiverb II. The original was marketed as a cheaper alternative to the much more expensive offerings from companies like Lexicon and EMS, who just a few years earlier, introduced some of the first digital reverb units to the market. The original unit ran on a custom, 16-bit, 24Khz digital signal processor. Our pedal recreates the full functionality of the original, translating the original algorithms one processor instruction at a time, into modern computer code. While the original Midiverb II had 100 Programs, many of them applied simple effects, such as fixed delays which can easily be replicated using the pre-delay functionality on the pedal. We hand-picked the best 64 programs, and organized them into 8 banks of 8 programs each. The programs go from very short, small room echoes, at just 100 milliseconds long, and gradually extend in length and size up to 15 seconds, with variations at each length, offering different room sizes and reflection brightness. And we can't forget the "Bloom" programs - arguably the most famous feature of the original. These two unique reverb programs created an unnatural swelling and decay of the sound, which at the time of release, had never been heard before. We made sure to include these programs in our selection.
