The debut album by Swedish heavy metal band Ghost is a thingsteeped in Satanic liturgy and although its songs are rife with heavymetal's favorite subject matter and menacing stacca to guitar riffing, the restraint of their attack, not to mention their production, harkenback to the era before downtuned everything.
