Rinse: Thoroughly rinse the piece to remove any dust or debris from transit. The Floating Phase: This wood is buoyant. Because the pieces are often thick, they require a thorough soak to become fully waterlogged. Tannin Management: Ghost Wood leaches fewer tannins than Malaysian wood, but some tint is still to be expected.
