This vintage 1908 Gibson A-3 Mandolin is a beauty, here with its original amber finish and pineapple tailpiece with only some wear from over a century of playing. The Spruce top an d Birch back and sides are bound as well as the Ebony, radiused fingerboard. The tuners have been replaced with new Stew Mac vintage tuners with a 15:1 ratio, and the bridge has been replaced with an adjustable one. The neck is straight and check out the curlicue inlay on the headstock - very cool. Most importantly, it sounds wonderful, with a clear, distinct tone.
