The lucky recipient will have all the fun and satisfaction of learning a new skill plus some beautiful decorations to show for it - two presents in one! IMPORTANT: If you want to buy this class as a gift please purchase this version. This is because when you purchase the standard class, a log-in is automatically created in your name in my online school. All details of the course are exactly the same as the willow star online course. You now need to choose whether you want to gift only the online course or if you want to add a kit of materials. I can either post the kit straight to the recipient or I can post it to you so that you can give it personally. It comes in an easily wrappable box. Please note that I can currently only send kits within the UK. My kit contains enough materials to make a 55cm, a 40cm and a 25cm star with a set of fairy lights for each. Plus enough willow left to make some little stars and wands and a few bells and some raffia to decorate them. All your recipient will need to provide is ribbon to hang the stars and a pair of sharp secateurs. Most of the year, the kit will contain dry willow which needs to be soaked before use. I provide a polythene soaking bag in this kit. From December - March I will sometimes have a green willow kit as an option. This means freshly harvested material that doesn't need soaking but you will need to keep it cool and use it within 3-4 weeks. Unless you're sure the recipient is going to open the gift straight away, it would be best to choose the dry willow kit. how does the recipient access the class? I will send you by email a certificate which will have the website address of my online school log-in page. The recipient will just need to go to that page and choose their own password. They will then gain access to the course content - videos, downloadable PDFs etc. You can either email the certificate to them or print it out and hand it to them together with the kit of materials. timing If you include in your gift my kit of green willow, it will need to be used within about 3 weeks of leaving my studio. If you leave it longer than that the willow will dry out and will break when the recipient tries to weave with it. If you buy them the brown willow kit, they will be able to keep it indefinitely. Only after they have soaked the willow is there a time limit on when they can use it. If you are buying this class as a gift for a birthday or other special event and want it posting directly to the recipient, please let me know when you want it to arrive with the them. If you are buying a kit, the last order date for me to be able to post it in time for Christmas is Saturday 19th December.
