During this 2 day course you are invited to join our ML or HML qualified instructors in the wonderful landscape of the peak district. Here you will develop your map and compass ski lls. The course is run entirely out on the hills and is completely "hands on". You will be provided with a map of the area and guided through all of the below skills to provide you with the confidence to plan and execute your own navigational lowland walks using the footpath network. This course is run by our instructors holding either the Mountain Leader Award, the Hill and Moorland Award or the Walking Group Leader Award. This course begins in Edale within the Peak District National Park. Each day runs from 09:30-16:30 ish - sometimes we are down off the hill a bit early, sometimes a bit later, it really depends on the group, what we have covered, and weather conditions. This course is run mid week across 2 days to allow quieter access to the Peak district than we would experience at the weekend. Find out more about this course here.
