The Build: They say the rail was built on bone, and this design honors that legacy. The Backbone of the Mainline features a spectral crew of trackmen—hammers in hand—standing guard before a thundering steam engine. With a skull-integrated locomotive leading the charge and the "Backbone of the Mainline" mantra forged in weathered, heavy-block lettering, this graphic is a grim reminder of the grit it takes to keep the world moving. It’s a high-impact, detailed tribute to the ghosts of the rail and the workers who still carry the torch today. The Specs: The Gildan G180 is an 8 oz. midweight powerhouse, engineered for rail workers and tradespeople facing the raw Canadian elements. Built with a high-density 50/50 US Cotton/Polyester blend, this crewneck utilizes Air Jet Yarn technology to create a smooth, low-friction face that provides superior wind resistance on the line and a pill-resistant exterior that stands up to heavy-duty friction. Designed for a professional, bulk-free fit, it features double-needle topstitching at all high-stress points and 1x1 athletic ribbing with spandex for high-tension stretch recovery. This ensures a tight, draft-proof seal at the neck and cuffs that won't sag after long shifts. Preshrunk and quarter-turned to hold its shape, the G180 is the ultimate streamlined workhorse for those who need thermal protection without the snag-risk of a hood. The Print: We don’t do "flimsy." Our gear is built using a high-pressure DTG (Direct-to-Garment) process that bonds specialized, heavy-duty inks directly into the fabric. This isn't a soft, delicate fashion print—it’s a rugged, high-friction finish designed to withstand the grind. You’ll feel the texture of the design, a reminder that the print is anchored deep into the fibers to prevent the cracking and peeling common with cheap heat transfers. It’s built to break in, not wear out. Care Instructions: Machine wash warm, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry on medium heat. The industrial-grade 50/50 blend is specifically designed for high-heat stability and minimal shrinkage, ensuring it’s ready for the next shift.
