Ever wondered what it really takes to make a beautiful bottle of gin? This is your opportunity to step inside Whanganui’s craft distillery, enjoy a welcome G&T, and spend an afternoon learning the art and science of distillation from the ground up. Your experience begins with a guided distillery tour, where you’ll learn about our stills, our process, and the role botanicals play in shaping flavour. From there, it’s time to create. You’ll be introduced to a wide range of botanicals and guided through the process of designing your own recipe. You’re welcome to bring a botanical of your own if there’s a flavour you’re particularly drawn to. Once your recipe is set, you’ll distil your gin on one of our four small copper alembic stills, with our master distiller Adrian guiding you throughout. Each participant crafts and takes home their own 700ml bottle of gin. We cap each public session at four participants so that everyone has their own still and a truly hands-on experience. Larger groups are welcome, but will share stills and develop recipes together. If you’re booking for four or more people, please contact us directly via email to arrange your session.
