The Ginkgo, a prehistoric tree with no living relatives is a wonderful species that is treasured in Asian cultures for its long lifespan (1000+ years old) and unique foliage that turns to a vibrant golden-yellow in the fall. It has an atypical growth pattern that lends well to stocky, flame-shaped bonsai. Grown from seed at Kaede Bonsai-en, these trees are well established in 2 1/4" containers.
