Born in Milan, Italy in 1891, Ponti is known as the father of Italian modern design. After his passing in 1979, his collections of furniture, flatware and other interior designs are being recreated with the help of his grandson, Paolo Rosselli. The works of Gio Ponti have won multiple Good Design and Compasso d'Oro awards and are in numerous museum collections.
