The Giraffe is the tallest animal in the world, and while they are social animals with other giraffes, they often enjoy the company of humans as well. This image of a friendly Gira ffe peeking down from the tree-tops is taken from a watercolour on paper painting by award-winning artist Daniel Mackie. The artist's work is heavily influenced by the Japanese print makers of the Ukiyo-e period, between 1670 and 1870. Daniel creates highly decorative designs that lift the spirit and warm the heart.
