Her story goes that she was born in Lisbon, under a beautiful bougainvillea in a pretty garden located at the foot of St. George’s Castle. When she was born, she had her eyes wide open and they remained so even whilst she was asleep. It is thought that this was due to her curiosity. Gisel wants to see everything, to know everything, and not to miss out on anything. Very early on, she left her garden to discover incredible new places, charming boutiques, extraordinary ice-cream parlors, exceptional confectioners, and unparalleled fishmongers. ----- More to the Story ----- Véronique Lacaze is an interior designer and graduate of the Arts Décoratifs de Paris. She began her career at Printemps where she became the project manager for the animated Christmas windows. She then began to design the Printemps mascots, the famous characters of the Boulevard Haussmann that, at the end of each year, make children and adults dream alike. It was a magical experience for her. Creating characters for children, seeing them come to life in the shop windows...
