LED Lamp Load Resistor for use with LED replacement bulbs in the exterior lighting circuits. An LED lamp draws far less current than the filament bulb it replaces. On a vehicle tha t monitors lamp current, the reduced draw can be interpreted as a failed bulb - producing a bulb-failure warning, or a raised flash rate on the indicator circuit. The resistor is wired in parallel with the LED lamp so that the circuit sees a current draw comparable to the original filament bulb. It dissipates the additional load as heat, and should be mounted against a bare metal surface, clear of paint, wiring and plastic trim. Show more
