Glacé cherries, or candied cherries, are fresh cherries that have been reduced in a sugar syrup until they are 'candied'. Candied fruits have been around since the 14th century, an d it's no wonder the tradition is still popular today. The end result of glacé cherries is a concentrated sweet version of the original fruit. They are very sweet with a slight hint of bitterness. Want some tasty sweet treats?
