Growing to heights of up to 5 feet, Gladiolus Passos boasts strong, sturdy stems that can effortlessly support its dense flower spikes. These spikes, reminiscent of fiery torches, illuminate the garden with their brilliance, each holding an abundance of blooms that gracefully cascade down their length. Despite their captivating beauty, Gladiolus Passos bulbs are surprisingly easy to cultivate. These versatile flowers thrive in full sun and well-drained soil, rewarding gardeners with a burst of colour during the peak gardening season. Their long vase life also makes them an excellent choice for cut flowers, adding a touch of drama to indoor arrangements. To cultivate these captivating blooms, plant the corms in the spring, approximately 4-6 inches deep and 6 inches apart. Water regularly, especially during the growing season, and fertilize every few weeks to encourage abundant blooms. As the flower spikes reach maturity, provide support with stakes to prevent them from toppling over. Once the blooms have faded, allow the foliage to die back naturally before digging up the corms and storing them in a cool, dry place over the winter. Enhance the beauty of your garden borders and containers with the striking bicolor blooms of the Gladiolus Passos. These flowers also make a perfect addition to indoor arrangements, adding a touch of elegance and drama to any space.
