Regularly take a pool water sample to your authorized GLB dealer for detailed water analysis. Add this product directly to the water with the filter pump running. Swimmers or bathers must wait 15 minutes before re-entering the pool. Initial Dosage: Add 5 1/4 fl oz of GLB Aqua Silk Algaecide per 10,000 gallons of pool water. Use the initial dose when filling the pool or converting to GLB Aqua Silk Algaecide. Treat visible algae growth with the initial dose. Vacuum the pool after 24 hours to remove algae debris. Repeat treatment if algae persists. Once the pool is free of visible algae, use the recommended maintenance dose. For Persistent Algae: Add 5 - 7 1/2 fl oz of GLB Aqua Silk Algaecide per 10,000 gallons of pool water into the skimmer with the pump and filter running. After one minute, shut off the pump and leave the system off overnight. The next day, restart the pump and add 5 - 7 1/2 fl oz of GLB Aqua Silk Algaecide to the pool. Run the pump and filter continuously for 24 - 48 hours. Brush the pool's bottom and sides frequently to loosen algae. Winterization: When you wish to close your swimming pool for the winter season, simply add the initial does prior to closing your swimming pool. This dose helps provide a measure of control for algae growth in your swimming pool.
