In 1994, Scotland marked 500 years since the first recorded reference to whisky in the 1494 Exchequer Rolls, which noted malt supplied to Friar John Cor for making “aqua vitae.” To commemorate this milestone, several distilleries released special editions. Glenturret, recognized as Scotland’s oldest working distillery with origins dating to 1775 and evidence of earlier illicit production issued this 21 year old limited edition.
