The Global Migration Quilt Pattern was originally designed by my aunt, Anne Reimer, in 2017 for Make Modern Magazine. Anne was an avid quilter and my go-to resource for all things quilting. I had just started writing patterns when she passed away from cancer in 2020. Global Migration was always a pattern I had wanted to make, but I had always been intimidated by the flying geese. My aunt would've cheered me on, and so I decided to give it a shot. While I was making it, I had the idea to rewrite the pattern and use it as a cancer research fundraiser. Each quarter, 100% of the earnings from this pattern are donated to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. The pattern has been updated to use 4-at-a-time flying geese and offer a second colour option.
