Construction notes: The Global Shift Sweater is worked from the top down. The back piece features a cable pattern running down the center back and is worked back and forth first, down to the base of the armhole. The front pieces, which feature a textured stockinette pattern, are picked up and worked back and forth from the cast-on edge of the back piece. Once the two front pieces and the back piece are finished to the base of the armhole, the three pieces are joined and worked back and forth in one piece until the neckline shaping is done. After that, the body is worked in the round to the hem. Stitches for the sleeves, which also showcase the textured stockinette pattern, are picked up along the armhole edge and knitted in the round to the cuff. Lastly, the v-neck rib collar is picked up and knitted around the neckline edge.
