Power on and the image is on-screen. This is the simplest way to add shared viewing to a classroom microscope. What Makes the LCD Model Unique Every other microscope in the Globe Scientific catalog requires a separate camera and either a computer or standalone screen to display digital images. The EBB-4220-LCD integrates the camera and display directly into the microscope body. This eliminates the trinocular camera port, the C-mount adapter, the USB or HDMI cable, and the computer — reducing a multi-component imaging chain to zero additional components. The tradeoff: this model includes SMP 4/10/S40 objectives (three objectives, no S100x oil immersion) and 1W LED illumination (vs. the 1W NeoLED in other BioBlue models). It is designed for classroom demonstrations at low and medium magnification, not for oil-immersion clinical work. Three-Objective Configuration The EBB-4220-LCD ships with SMP 4x, 10x, and S40x objectives — covering scanning, low-power, and high-dry magnification. The 100x oil immersion objective is not included. This is intentional: the LCD model is designed for classroom biology where most prepared-slide observation occurs at 40x-400x total magnification.
