Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Glowing Embers’ – pinkish-red lush flowers of incredible size slowly deepen into purple tints reminiscent of the fading sun. Fantastic color and immense flow erheads (8 inches or more across) make this a wonderful addition to any landscape. This is a compact growing plant with shiny, dark green leaves. ‘Glowing Embers’ was developed almost 50 years ago and is still considered the finest mophead Hydrangea. This German classic has often been difficult to find. Care Zones 5 - 9. Part shade - morning or evening sun is best. No hot afternoon sun unless dappled. Moist but well drained soil preferred.
