No. This bar contains goat milk and locally-sourced honey, both of which are animal-derived ingredients. If you're looking for a vegan option, most of the other Medika Organics soap bars are made without animal products. Where does the honey come from? It's locally sourced — chosen deliberately rather than just grabbed off a supermarket shelf. Supporting local producers is part of how Medika Organics operates, and it means the honey in this bar is as fresh and natural as the rest of the ingredients. What does goat milk do for skin? Goat milk is naturally rich in lactic acid, which gently softens and smooths the skin's surface over time. It also contains vitamins A and B2, selenium and skin-loving fatty acids that nourish and support the skin's natural barrier. It creates a beautifully creamy lather and is valued for its gentle, comforting effect on dry, sensitive and easily irritated skin. What does honey do for skin? Honey is a natural humectant. It draws moisture to the skin and helps it stay there. It also has natural antibacterial properties and has been used for wound care for thousands of years. In a soap bar it adds a subtle golden warmth to the lather and leaves skin feeling noticeably soft and comfortable after washing.
