Goeppertia zebrinaGoeppertia zebrina has long, velvety leaves with a dark green background and broad lighter green bands that spread outward along the veins. The striped surface gi ves the species its zebra-like pattern, while the undersides are reddish-purple.The leaves rise on long stems from the base and can reach around 45 cm long. A mature houseplant can reach roughly 90 cm tall under good conditions. As the clump fills out, the leaves remain upright with a slight arch, and their coloured undersides become more visible when they lift in the evening.
