Becky Comber creates meticulously constructed photographic works that transform natural forms into layered, dimensional compositions. Working from images she captured along the sho reline of Lake Ontario and during an artist residency at the Banff Centre, she hand-cuts and reassembles each photograph, collapsing space, shadow, and negative form into newly imagined structures. In this series, Comber draws on these field-based studies to build precise visual constructions that reflect her ongoing interest in perception, place, and the architecture of the natural world. Her work has been widely exhibited and is held in prominent private, corporate, and public collections across North America. The artworks featured here are open-edition prints derived from the original hand-cut pieces. Show more
