This is a vintage Carmen Sweetheart Expansion Bracelet with a locket. It has a beautiful central locket design and is engraved KRD. The Gold Filled Bracelet opens up to reveal a locket which has its original plastic insert to protect your photo. You could also insert a photo on the other side. These bracelets were popular gifts from soldiers going off to fight in both World Wars. The expansion part of the bracelet alternates with links that are embossed and links that are plain. The links are 15mm wide and nice and tight. It is larger than others I have sold and will expand to fit a wrist up to about 8 inches. The center front is 23mm across. This one is only marked Patented, but I have seen the same bracelet marked Carmen. It was made by the DF Briggs Company from Attelboro. Bracelet is in excellent condition.
