Inspired by the line art scratchboards of Anthony Ravielli, Golden Handscontinues the story of the importance of hands and the many roles they play in ourlives. The lush natural colors of gold and amber represent the precious metals and the natural resources created by the earth. The scarcity of these resources and theimportance they play in our daily lives parallels what is held precious, rare, and scarce in the defining characteristics of the emerging NFT metaverse. The companion NFT finds its origins in the molten lava fields laying beneath the surface of the earth. There is a sense of pure crude oil flowing throughout the piece and a sense of golden ores being melted down as they take on new forms. Hands play a vital role in all of this as they do when Ben Hogan grips his club.
