This piece was created as part of my first solo exhibition entitled 'GAANBONA' meaning Bright & Colourful in Taungurung language of the Eastern Kulin Nations. Artwork Story Gombruk 'Spring' is a celebration of new beginnings and the vibrant energy of Country during September - November. The rich blues represent flowing waterways nourished by the season, while the warm pinks, purples and yellow symbolise the blooming flora and the warmth of the sun over Country.
